It happens, and it's completely normal. We focus on the moments your baby gives us, like movement, the heartbeat, and little hands and feet, rather than forcing a pose. If your baby's position keeps us from capturing their face during an eligible 3D/4D session, our return-visit policy (below) applies.

We can't promise a specific image, and we won't pretend otherwise. This isn't a photoshoot. It's a meeting. Your baby's position, the placenta, fluid levels, and anatomy all play a part.

We try gentle options during your session, such as a position change, a short walk, or a quick break, and we tell you honestly what we're seeing. If your baby still won't show their face during an eligible 3D/4D session, our return-visit policy (below) applies.

Body size is one factor among many, and we make no assumptions. Your comfort comes first, and every pregnancy images differently.

Our ultrasound sessions start at 8 weeks. We scan abdominally, never internally, and before about 8 weeks an abdominal scan often can't show much of what you're hoping to see, so we'd rather wait until your visit has the best chance of being everything you want it to be. This 8-week minimum applies to ultrasound imaging only. SneakPeek Early Gender DNA is available from 6 weeks and does not require an ultrasound. It's a simple blood draw, so you don't need to wait for a scan or have one first. Any scans your medical care needs are scheduled by your prenatal provider, whenever they need them.

An anterior placenta can limit some angles, which sometimes means beautiful profile views instead of full-face images. It's normal and very common.

A calm room, soft lighting, and a sonographer who explains what you're seeing throughout your session. Some parents cry. Some laugh. Some just sit quietly. All of it is welcome.
