How this works
Why weeks 26–32? By 26 weeks baby has developed the sweet facial fat that makes 3D images look like newborn photos, and there’s still enough room and fluid for baby to move, turn, and give us those wonderful angles. After about 32 weeks, space gets cozier and faces can hide behind hands, feet, and the placenta.
That guidance comes from our sonographer’s 15 years of scanning experience. Every pregnancy is different, though, fluid, position, and placenta location all matter. If your baby's position keeps us from capturing clear images of their face during your eligible 3D/4D session, you'll receive one complimentary return visit.
Already past 32 weeks? Come anyway. Late-pregnancy sessions are calmer, cheeks are at their roundest, and an experienced sonographer knows how to work with a cozier studio apartment.
