How this works
Day-3 transfer: due date = transfer date + 263 days. Day-5 (blastocyst) transfer: transfer date + 261 days. Egg retrieval / fresh transfer day: treated as conception, so due date = retrieval date + 266 days.
Because the embryo’s age is known to the day, ACOG notes that ART-based dating is the most accurate way to estimate a due date (ACOG Committee Opinion 700). Your fertility clinic and prenatal provider still have the final word.
